The Department of Forensic Medicine currently provides specialized training for undergraduate students in their II and III year, aspiring to pursue an MD in Forensic Medicine. The department features modern amenities including well-planned and fully furnished faculty rooms and offices, equipped with computers, laptops, and internet access for all faculty members. It houses an exceptionally organized museum, a large student laboratory, and a spacious demonstration room equipped with OHP and LCD projectors, comfortably accommodating around 50 students. A separate mortuary block is maintained with modern instruments and equipment, located within the MGM campus approximately 1500–2000 meters from the department. Although still under construction, the mortuary is adequately measured and features a cold chamber facility capable of preserving four bodies at a time. It can handle two cases simultaneously and accommodate 15–20 students. The department is distinguished by its self-learning modules and is home to one of the best forensic museums in the country.
