A spacious museum with over 100 mounted specimens, supported by a digital catalogue and educational charts, enhances student learning. The department’s practical labs provide 50 student workstations and a demonstration space for 30 learners, each station furnished with binocular microscopes for individual use. Advanced infrastructure includes trinocular research microscopes and high-quality penta-head microscopes to support digital microscopy and collaborative learning. The department is linked to a 24-hour diagnostic service laboratory at Kalamboli Hospital, offering essential investigations such as FNAC, Pap smears, bone marrow aspiration, and tru-cut biopsies. Automated tissue processing machines and a grossing station ensure efficiency and precision in histopathological services. The service lab is also equipped for haematological testing and cytological evaluation. As a diagnostic cornerstone, the department enables early disease detection through procedures like Gynae Pap, guided biopsies, frozen sections, and immunohistochemistry.
